Is there food at the brewery?
Yes! Palate Street Bistro is a food truck serving up delicious food 7 days a week at the brewery. You can order inside from your table with the QR code, or you can order from the truck on the patio. The hours of operation are listed on the main page of our website.
Can Jim Dandy cater my event?
Yes, we have a draft trailer to cater all sorts of events.*Catering requires a 6 week lead time to get necessary permits to serve. Reach out to Hailee at jimdandybrewing@gmail.com to get catering package information and date availability.
Where can I buy your beer to take home?
Our brewery is the only place to buy canned Jim Dandy beer to take home. You can buy 4-packs of 16 oz cans as a single style, or mix and match your 4-pack with different styles. We also have some styles available in a 32 oz Dandy Can. We offer a 10% discount on cases of regular and mixed 16 oz 4-packs everyday!
What do you do with your spent yeast & grain?
After the majority of sugar is extracted from the grain in the mash, we collect it in bins along with any spent yeast and take it to Bowman Farms to help build their compost pile. Both spent grain & yeast are excellent sources of vitamins and minerals, and are a great addition to help the Bowman's grow their impeccable produce.
Where can I get Jim Dandy beer on tap? Do you distribute to restaurants or bars?
Yes! We distribute the Ambitious Blonde & Jimmy Drinks IPA locally, and you can find it on tap at a variety of places in Pocatello. Palate Neighborhood Bistro, Goody's Deli, The Sand Trap, The Sandpiper, Brick 243, Hooligans, Barricade, The Union Taproom/The Yellowstone currently have Jim Dandy beer on tap.
How much beer do you make every time you brew?
Jim Dandy has an oversized 10 barrel brewhouse, upgraded in 2023 from our original 7 barrel brewhouse. Our brew day consists of either a 7, 10, or 15 barrel batch and yields anywhere between 217 to 465 gallons of beer.
Is the brewery family friendly?
Yes, we love being a family friendly establishment. We have a large array of kid friendly drinks to choose from. We do ask that all kiddos stay seated at the table with their family during their visit to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
Is the brewery pet friendly?
Due to insurance & liability reasons, we do not allow pets inside the brewery or on the patio. As always, ADA service animals are allowed.
Do you have any other drinks besides beer?
Yes, we have a large selection of craft ciders, seltzers, canned cocktails, wine, and specialty non-alcoholic drinks. There is truly something for every palate, and plenty of Gluten Free options. All of these options are available for preview on our website.
How do I get a Mug Club Membership?
Mugs for Mug Club go on sale once a year in November, and are available until they sell out. Mug Club is a great club to join to get $1.50 discounts on mug pours everyday, and the mugs never expire!
Can I buy a keg for my wedding?
Yes, we sell 1/2 barrel and 1/4 barrel kegs for events (weddings, parties, reunions, etc) within the state of Idaho that are no longer than a 7 day period. Reach out to Hailee at jimdandybrewing@gmail.com for pricing and style availability.
